Harsh...they kept up a team that was in freefall and dead certs for another relegation on the trot.

I can see them pitching up at Bristol Titties in a few days.

More to this than meets the eye. Not sacked because they done a bad job.

They had 1 point from 6 games when they took over and now they are safe.

The Cowleys were all pally with Bilic at the start of the game because they were big fans of the Croat for his playing career at West Ham when they were young lads. However during the game Bilic looked increasingly angered by the brothers tactics( mostly time wasting when Huddersfield were still in the game).
All was sweetness and light at the final whistle after the Baggies had won comfortably and the three ended up in a group hug. Ahhhhh.

The Cowleys play percentage football in the Allardyce fashion. I wouldn't like to watch it but Huddersfield are a big improvement on early season form.

Re: Cowley brothers take over at Huddersfield Town
No doubt they're talented lads, but let's be honest, they were working with a blank canvass at Lincoln, a club that had a complete fall, and they could build from the bottom.

A lot different going into a club relegated from the Prem, they won't be getting millionaires cleaning the changing rooms, and a few bad results in a town like that the fans won't give a fuck what they've done in the community. Wish them the best of luck though, always nice to see Hammers doing well.

They have actually galvanised a City and really got involved with the community. They show a lot of class, which is a rare commodity in the football world!

Re: Cowley brothers take over at Huddersfield Town
People need to get over themselves about long ball football. The fact is that all the best ball playing footballers gravitate up to the better teams and thus coaches have to make do with the material they’ve got and find a way to get the best out of it. And this is what the Cowley brothers have done at Concord, Braintree and Lincoln.

Now they have moved over to Huddersfield and it will be interesting to see how they do in getting that squad playing and being effective enough to avoid relegation. I can see them making Huddersfield safe from relegation but the brothers will be managing at a level new to them and they will be new to handling players a step change better than those at Concord. They are an evolving pair as coaches, learning and improving as they go, and their attention to detail will hold them in good stead. It will require Huddersfield’s owners and fans to be patient but the Crowley’s will leave no stone unturned to get success.
